In his homily at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church on September 9th, 2001, Archbishop John C. Favalora said of this corpus, ” His body has become the cross.”
The altar was based on a design that Paster Fr. Ronald Brohammer had made in wood. I chose Florida’s coral rock quarried in Key Largo and inset terracotta panels fired at the University of Miami.

Our Lady Shelter from the Storm is reminiscent of Hurricane Andrew that came through the parish. It is based on my design for the Gloucester, Massachusetts Fishermen’s Wives Monument. I did not finish my model in time for that competition but was able to bring the plaster model to Florida.
