Anorexic Girl, pencil and water color, private collection, Boston.
The mother of the young woman commissioned the portrait as a means of therapy. It seems as though it did work because I subsequently did two more portraits of her looking healthier, a water color, and an oil painting of her playing her bassoon that she played in an orchestra.
